This is a list of USB DACs known to support Native DSD with Innuos servers/streamers or network players. It is not exhaustive as many DACs available on the market contain the same USB chip implementation. If you have a DAC that you have confirmed to render Native DSD on our servers and it’s not listed here, please email us to our Support indicating the DAC details (make, model name and version) and we’ll update the list with it.
It’s the DAC manufacturer’s responsibility to make sure their specifications are fully supported on the advertised supported systems. The innuOS system is GNU/Linux based so it uses the built-in Linux kernel hardware support for DACs. It streams the DSD file via USB directly to the DAC as is – no DSP or rendering is done whatsoever as it is the DAC’s job to render it properly. No optional DAC driver support is available.
