Guide to Resetting Your Music Library or Innuos System

If you want to completely reset your music library and delete all local music so you can start fresh with your Innuos system, there are two ways to do it:

Clear Music Library

This option deletes the music library database, all local music files stored on the system, and any configured Shared Folders. It does not delete files stored on a NAS or USB drive. This is a good choice if you simply want to re-import your music and start reorganising your library.

Factory Reset

This option goes further by clearing your Music Library, resetting all system settings, and removing any customisations you’ve made on the Home Page or Music page. It returns the system to its original factory configuration. This is especially useful if, for example, you’ve purchased a used system and want to set it up as your own from scratch.

Please do not use Factory Reset as a way to resolve an issue you may be experiencing and don’t know what it is. Factory reset will not solve any potential software or network connectivity problems you may have. These issues can all be potentially resolved without the added work of restoring a backup or creating your database all over again. Please reach out for our Support if there’s an issue you can’t resolve so our team can advise.
